Default RIPPED Off!!!!!

Okay, I did something stupid this week! Got home Monday after work and intended to go back out to water some new trees...left the garage door open...and then forgot to go back out. When I was messing around in the garage last night, I realized my O'Brien slalom ski, ski vests, craftsmen tools, cordless drill and my golf clubs were missing!

You guessed it...I got ripped off!!!

I never would've expected this in the Ballantyne area, but BEWARE!! The policeman that came out mentioned that it was probably done by some $@#$@# teens that cruise through neighborhoods looking for open garages. I don't think I've ever left my garage open over night, but the one time I do.....

Here's to hoping for a good insurance adjuster!!

Just wanted to warn you guys. (At least nothing happened to my S!)

Sorry to hear this. I suggest that everyone make a video of the contents of their homes to help make your case in the event of a claim. Include closets, inside cabinets, drawers, items stored under the bed,...you get the picture (no pun intended). And of course, include your garage and everything in it.

Damn. . .it's always something that you least suspect.

I'm amazed how daring folks can be. I had a new CR-V set up in front of my office as a local promotion and the little fold out table that comes with the CR-V was sitting outside of the vehicle as a display.

Our office closes at 6pm on Saturday and around 6:15 or so, a lady and her son/boyfriend walk up to the CR-V and pick up the table and start walking away!!!

I walked outside and found them trying to fit it into the trunk of a Buick Lesabre or something. I couldn't believe it. When they saw me, they had this "deer caught in headlights look." I calmly said, "hey, that's not a giveaway." The apologized and left it on the grass and quickly drove away.

I was in no mood for a confrontation. Better for me to play stupid than be accusatory and end up with a cap in my ass!
