Yo fellas,

I just stumbled onto this super informative thread so much thanks!

a few things:

1) Modifry's site link does not work? Anyone have his new site?

2) What is a DCI and what does it do?

3) I'm very capable on doing the wiring mods/bypass but I noticed for those 2 wire taps (VSS and the E-brake), there are conflicting picture labels for the E-brake, which one is the correct one so I can reference that one?

I plan on disabling the VSS only so no one will try to open the top accidently....

thanks,
rick

No problem!

1) Modifry's new site is http://www.modifry.com
2) Modifry's DCI is a Dash Control Interface that allows the stock dash controls to interface to an aftermarket stereo headunit.
3) The first post in the thread has the correct pics.

Spyhunter,

Did you ever get clarification for me as to which wire it is that needs to be grounded?
The green/white wire gets cut, after cutting it, the part that goes into the controller gets grounded, the part that goes back into the car is left hanging/insulated...

Do you think it's possible to add a resistor in-line with the VSS that would change the signal so that you can use the top from let's say 0-10mph, but nothing above?

Hey, y'all

I tried this mod today and found that on my 03 car there wasn't anything that looked like that cover on my passanger side. Just what appeared to be a fan motor and a protective cover with large vent line throuh the floor. the cover had no clips and i couldn't see how to get it off.

I did find the moduals in the picture on the driver's side by the fuses... what gives? are these the same?

THANKS

The panel is the piece that the passenger's knee would hit if the seat weren't far enough back. So far I've not been able to get it off or even loosen it. I'm afraid I'll break it if I pull harder.

Is this what you think you'll have to replace?
