Thumbs up Sooo...let's say I wanted to park my mini-van...

Trying to consider some logistics regarding DragonBall Run X this fall... My company has decided that I need to be at our yearly Product Show (held in Greensboro, NC) this coming Sept.

Here's the rub: As soon as the Show is over...I'd like to head on towards The Dragon for DragonBall Run X... But add to the mix, I'm planning on bringing along my mom for the DBR event. She lives in Prince George, VA (essentially a return trip to Richmond, VA just to 'get her' then head back down 85/40 towards DBRX )...

So...as I see it, I'd be at the Show in Greensboro (for business purposes) and staying in nearby motel on the dates of Sept 20-23rd. I could see myself driving down there in the S2000. Then, rather than return to VA to get my mom, I'm thinking I might suggest to her that she drive her mini-van down to meet me in Greensboro. Pack her stuff into the S2000...and leave her mini-van in Greensboro for the weekend during DBRX. Returning back through Greensboro that Sunday afternoon, mom could jump in her mini-van and we'd follow each other back to VA.

The idea would essentially save me an 8 hour round trip between Greensboro to Prince George, VA (where my folks live) on 9/23...and would allow us to head towards DBRX much sooner .

The question then becomes...is there anyone living in a 'safe' Greensboro suburb (or a nearby town, but fairly directly off I-40)...that wouldn't have an issue with us parking a nice-looking, late-model Chrysler mini-van on their property for that weekend of 9/23-26?

Again...I'm just thinking out loud here. But suggesting this to my folks would have to start with first knowing whether or not there's a willing host offering a safe place to leave her van parked for that weekend.

Thanks in advance for considering!

Dave,

I know it isn't Greensboro but you are more then welcome to leave it here if you need to.

you might also try the greensboro airport or one of its park and rides. probably only $5-6 per day.

I have a friend that you could probably park it at, but its street parking in a a neighborhood - an option if you can't find anything better. Another good option are select apartment complexes that would never notice a minivan for a week.

You could leave it in the parking lot at the Sheraton Four Seasons. I'm almost positive that they don't require any kind of parking permit (I've been there for a number of seminars, conferences, etc. and have never been given anything.) It's well lit, patrolled by security and convenient to I-40 and High Point Road.

You're welcome to park it in front of my house as well, but you would have to back track about 30-45 minutes east from Greensboro.
