I plan to head out Friday morning, but I'm leaving from Greenville SC.
Hey Saki, if you'd like to meet up with us, pick an exit near Asheville, past where I-26 comes into 40W. We should arrive there around 10:30ish.

Hey, does anyone have maps of non-Dragon routes that are also fun? (just in case the Tenn Troopers prove to be too intrusive to Dragon driving, plus I'd like to know!)

Thanks, I'm not sure when I'm leaving Friday morning, or how I'll get there yet. I was thinking of either taking the fast way up I-26, or the "slow" way up 64. Has anyone here taken 64 through Franklin before?

64 can be slow through cashiers & such.
Saki, on my way to WTD, I took 64 to Franklin, then 28 out of Franklin to the junction with 74, then left on 28 (Hellbender).

But Mark is right, 64 can be really slow between Sapphire Valley and Highlands. There is road construction and a ton of truck with all the residential development. But after Highlands, 28/64 is a great road, passing right by Bridal Veil Falls.

have fun.

That would be your other left (a right) on 28 off of 74/19
