I've patched my top from the inside out... I did it after my top completely ripped about an inch long on the passenger side. It worked so well that i figured i'd go ahead and pre-patch the drivers side to avoid it from ripping. I've had both patches on for over a year now and they have stopped any further ripping. I'll try and post pics up soon... right now its study time for ECON!

[QUOTE=airgate,May 1 2008, 11:48 PM] Hey Saki, sorry man...re-reading my post...I came across a little harsh and of course, didn't mean to.

Thanks - I was wondering why you were being such a hard ass all the sudden - must be getting old...
I am getting old...just turned 31...WTF!!?? Also, I had quite a work load yesterday... Still that's no excuse.

Good luck with getting warranty to work for you. Gonna go to Crown (since we know some guys working there now)?

Last Year when I replaced my back glass section I had plenty left over material from my top. I patched mine with 3M emblem adhesive (dries clear) from the inside. Looks GREAT considering the tear before.

If anyone needs some material, I've got plenty!

Very kind offer, thanks! So does it do anything (reaction) with the exterior of the top material?? Sometimes a patch like that may show up on the other side...do you see any sign of that??

If you can help me with that question, then I'd be interested in getting some of the material sent my way. Thanks!

Nope Not at all. It doesn't show a bit from the outside. Feels a bit stronger actually at the "tear" site.
