Thinking about going Turbo
Fullblown Stage 1, 3200$ shipped, good kit and reliable from all the reviews. thats what i plan on doing. greddy is trash btw. SC is overpriced for the power you get IMO, i used to want one badly. now i want a turbo
Depends what you are using it for. If its a fun car to drive around on the street and you want explosive power then get a turbo. Know this though:
1) doing it the first time around, it will ultimately be cheaper, more reliable and less frustrations if you get a kit.
2) if this is your DD, you better have friends that will drive you around and be very patient
3) expect to pay at least $6k+ for a decent and reliable kit
4) there will be other unseen costs that you need to add $500-$1,000 for
If you want to track your car and dont want to change the natural balance and handling then a supercharger with more linear power is what you want. My s/c S can in no way keep up with my other 2 turbo cars, but it is much more predictable. I am not afraid to mash on the gas after the apex. I would be 100% comfortable in driving it cross country if i ever needed to. A s/c s2000 around a track like ViR is a lethal combination.
Thanks

inline pro has alot of issues... hell... all turbos do, it takes alot of tweaking to stop melting shit. SC is the more "user friendly" and "reliable" as they say... usually because it has very little heat output and doesnt spin nearly as high as a turbo does. just dont expect mad torque from it.
Yeah. I'm pretty much wanting to gain some horsepower without having to worry about all that heat. Japhethwar cleared alot of stuff up for me. So if I do get any type of forced induction it will a super charger.
