Default VSA

I was reading up in S2K talk on a thread and someone said that in his MY07 when he presses the VSA button that a indication lights up on the dash indicating that it is off. When I press mine, nothing happens, should I have this checked out tomorrow while I am getting my first oil change on the car? or is this just an untrue statement by this guy?

Thanks.

key is to hold it for about 2 seconds, but it turns back on immediatly upon pressing the button again. I didn't see this in the manual, it just said press it.
