Yeah, I was an Air Force cadet in 1980, when I realized at USAFA that I didn't want some major giving me order to take his bullets.

Actually, the truth is much more complex than that. But, indeed, the honor code in the military is very, very strict. I honestly did have some issues with it.

I actually take my ASVAB today. Hopefully my flight aptitude test in the next couple weeks. I may be going to boot camp as early as Feb.

Yeah. I didn't know until just recently that you could fly in the ARMY and Marines without being an officer. I want to fly attack choppers. I'd have done this 4-5 years ago if I had known.

you don't have to be a commissioned officer, but I believe you still have to be a warrant officer.

Warrant officer is a strange designation, isn't it? It doesn't imply college graduate, as I recall.

Anyway, Iuke, this sounds very cool. You'd be kind of an old man for this program, wouldn't you?

Yes...you have to be a Warrant Officer and you don't need to have any college degrees.

You can be between the ages of 18-29 Charlie.
