Yeah...it's not a typical process. That's been the hardest thing for my parents to understand. They are freaking out.

I'm proud to know you. Not many people take this into consideration when they join the military. so many people just see the benefits. I admit that even though I volunteered to go to the 1st Gulf war, and was declined becuase my older brother was already there, I never got anywhere near any action when i was in. Hell, They couldn't have sent me further from the action. Not that I minded much. though I gotta say, with my rating, I would've most likely ended up as a door gunner on either Hueys or 60's had I been sent.
