Don't pay more than $149; try to talk them down.. . . but yeah. . . the DIMMS and HDDs are worth it. . . bonus points if you cram it all into a MacMini in the next 6 months.

My first guess would be shotty craftsmanship and/or shortty sourcing of the composite.

My next suspicion would involve examining the actual use models of the propeller against what the engineering margins would be. That is to say, folks are using the damn things outside of what the materials can handle.

Also, I wouldn't rule out what may be in the water or the sky. . . depending on what sort of stuff you're wanting to propel/impel.
