UnkieT,
What finance firms would you suggest I look at for internships? I'm drawing a huge BLANK of which to look at.
I want to do an investment banking internship (stocks, mutual funds), and also a corporate finance internship. I have a feeling I'll like corporate finance more, but I want to be able to experience both and see for myself.
Ideas?

My favorite of the private banks/managed houses is Fisher Investments. They're local too.
I have an acquaintance that works for Edward Jones, he seems content.
If finance is like many other careers, it's more of a question of what kind of work environment do you want. Close to the exchange? Size of company? Size of portfolio/leverage? Corporate attitude? Do your homework.

I don't know what I want to do... that's why I want to experience them. I don't think I'd be open to out-of-region internships as most don't pay. I'd love to do an internship at a NY Investment Bank/Fund--but obviously I'd need to be going to school in that general area.
