if you two are so smart then come fix it
Step 1 - look up make and model number of system
Step 2 - find TSBs, bugs, updates, etc.
Step 3 - back up important stuff
Step 4 - get to FW.
Step 5 - make sure FW is put together
Step 6 - Reinstall Win7
Step 7 - Install updates in bulk (that weren't included for the FW bits.
Step 8 - Install Firefox, Safari, and Opera
Step 9 - Let soak for 2 hours
Step 10 - reattach backed-up files
Step 11 - prepare to repeat at some later date

If I'm looking to sharpen up my unix skills, should I be focusing purely on BSD as it relates to OS X, or broadening my horizon at the same by reading up on Solaris and GNU?
