Step 10 - reattach backed-up files
Step 11 - prepare to repeat at some later date

Step 2 - boot up minimalist setup
Step 3 - start Software Update
Step 4 - Vacation in Vegas
Step 5 - Check on Software Update
Step 6 - Weekend on Olympic Peninsula
Step 7 - Use Mac for a week
Step 8 - Start Software Update. . . again. . .
Step 9 - load specialty software
Step 10 - discover incompatibilities
Step 11 - retrieve correct patch information
Step 12 - run Software Update
Step 13 - Go to Victoria for a day
Step 14 - return, reboot system
Step 15 - use system
Step 16 - wait for another round of updates next week
