I base my belief that the picture is on him on a number of separate facts, which, when I add them together, would give me no reason to doubt the authenticity of the photograph......
However, I do not base my belief in the existence of Josh solely on the existence of that photograph ......

Peter, as I think I have already said, I do not consider that I have been given absolute proof that the picture is Josh. I consider, based on a set of reasonable principles that I have developed over time, that I have enough evidence to believe that the picture is Josh ......

Writing letters in this vein is a large part of my job, and the part that I actually enjoy the most
