So sorry to hear about your buddy. Sending good vibes.

Thought I'd put some numbers to my wife's blood count.

One day before her vaccine
WBC 3.7
Platelets 136
RBC 3.65
After her vaccine
WBC +1 day 6.9 +8 days 6.2 +15 days 5.0
Platelets +1 day 100 +8 days 112 +15 days 154
RBC +1 day 3.69 +8 days 3.73 +15 days 3.92

WBC count has not been over 6.1 in the last 5 years, so the vaccine really made it work(a good thing)
PLA count is now high for my wife but this too is a good thing.
RBC 3.55 to 3.68 is normal for my wife and the highest its been in the last two years was 4.05. So with it at 3.92 and hopefully still climbing is also a good thing.

Was it the vaccine? With a test subject of one you can't make a informed judgment. But we do like the way her blood numbers changed after her vaccine.
Now we get to see what they will be after her 2nd shot.

our infection numbers are starting to rise again , just coming off a pretty strong lockdown. It is like a roller coaster, we lockdown and numbers go down then they open things up and numbers start to rise again. I hope there won't be a third lockdown, this has been enough. Vaccine distribution is slow and might not be complete until late summer early fall.

WOW I think I get all those #s but regardless thanks for the update Rod and yeah lets hope she continues with improvement after the 27th!

C-6 gets his 2nd Pfizer vaccination tomorrow after being diligent about checking the County site he got in over in Riverside, about 45 mins vs our site here but well worth the drive.

Thanks for the good thoughts, stable numbers and more vaccine and that should be the winning combination I hope. All the best in your region.

Same here it is very frustrating. They opened up one of the high schools here 100% because teachers ARE GOING TO GET the vaccine. How about we wait until THEY GET the vaccine. The end result was 5 people at the school got diagnosed with covid and someone on one of the basketball teams got diagnosed with covid and they had played an away game so now 2 schools had to CLOSE 100% and everyone has to quarantine all because they can't wait.

Our local schools just reopened today as the teachers have all received the vaccine. That's fine for the teachers, but the students haven't. Our daughter is staying online only for school as we simply aren't comfortable with her going back yet, and neither is she.
Next school district over has had a lot of new Covid cases in the last week or so, with 3 different sport teams all being quarantined due to positive cases. It's just stupid. Want to reopen, get everyone vaccinated. This isn't difficult, but stupidity reigns supreme.
