A piece of pizza with onions, olives, pepperoni and I put a couple of pieces of pineapple from the fridge on it. The pineapple COMPLIMENTED the pizza well.

 

Wait, I thought that you are Italian/American. Pineapple and pizza do not go together.

 

I am part Italian and worked in the pizza industry for 8 years. Pineapple on pizza is one of those things ya just gotta try it.

 

I had an ex girlfriend that liked pineapple on pizza. Just saying.

 

I just had ANOTHER piece of pizza with pineapple and spinach on the side and my stuff is still swinging just sayin'

 

You are right that pineapple is not appreciated by traditionalists and old school Italians, but I do like it.

I am Italian (Canadian-Italian) and for some odd reason one of my favourite pizzas has always been pineapple and fresh mushrooms. My parents probably never understood the concept and they probably never ate pineapple when they lived in Italy.

I also like a very traditional Naples style pizza with sauce, fresh cheese, and basil as my other favourite type of pizza. To be honest I never met a pizza I did not like.

 

I just ate an entire jar of baked beans, in a Canadian Whiskey sauce. Damn good.

 

How about anchovies? I can't do anchovies even if they are on half the pizza the whole thing is contaminated to me. I used to work with a guy that would eat them right out of the jar.
