160. No difference that I can hear... never really done a test but I should... in fact i will.
PC SW? Sounds great. Both iTunes and Creative SW are not bad to use. iTunes slightly easier but Creative more functionality. Some of the C functionality is a little klugey to use but workable.

and only listen on the pooter (I'm iPodless) 
and make .mp3 discs for the S .... it usually sounds great!

Hmmmm. Between 5 and 6 hundred I think. 275 artists alone (Checked the number of folders) and multiples of many or most.
It takes a lot of time.
None of my vinyls are counted nor are they ripped.
