May trade in the GNX for...
here ya go martin, I couldn't link to the original site....
exterior. I think the fron is *okay* but mostly what bothers me is the loss of overall balance. They kept the same design cues, but to me it still looks like a fox body. There are other pics out there floating around as well, of this zebra mule and they also look to me like a fox....
that concept was so hot, and they barely changed the GT from concept. Maybe there is still hope?

and here's the interior: still looks decent

The greatest Trans-Am series car, ever. I've got the original write-up from Road&Track at the casa; maybe I should scan it...

Parnelli Jone's a**-kickin' Mustang
Interestingly, this car was originally built as a 351; KarKraft rebuilt it, then Bud Moore made it the dominator it was.
The Sandridges of pre-mixed salad fame owned this until the mid-70's. They went on to win the IMSA Showroom Stock series in a Porsche I helped prep in '91 (or '92? damn I'm getting old).

Oh, and yes, I've seen the spy photos, etc. of the '05. The concept at Detroit was way sweeter, but I've also stood next to an '05 early build in Arizona (APG in Yucca). Make it loud, quick, and not too fat, let Carroll take over the development (so the earliest will be an '06) and I'll be ready and waiting
like I said... maybe there is still hope, but I don't know I'm confused by ford lately.
The GT rocks, hands down. The mustang concept rocks, but I don't like the factory build, I'm sure it's better than the current one, and the front end does look tough..... but......
they were so close to making a classic again......
I just hope they don't mess up the lightning, that concept is hot!!!

oops sorry, zoe, got a little excited.
sorry, martin I don't mean to be so negative. I had really high hopes for the mustang
and my shelby opinion only comes because the cobra is my favorite car, and he's trying to stifle the very community he started......
and I want a lightning, and I don't want it messed up!!!

Hell I still fantasize about a 68 mustang coupe with an independant rear end and tube chassis as my daily driver
