Well, true GNX has easy power potential, and the turbo 6 is MUCH rarer than a 350, but first and foremost I'm not an FI guy. Plus, I have a crapload of experience with the 350, whereas the turbo 3.8 is a blank slate for me.
Iunno.
But you say 900hp GNX as though a 350 can only make 600hp. Merlin makes a tall block 350 bored and stroked to 427, and even 454 cubes... As a crate motor, they already make 550+ all-motor carbureted horses. Not bad...

If you guys met me in person, I'm sure you'd already consider me a redneck. Not necessarily a hillbilly, but definitely a Texan. I have a shaved head, and don't qualify for ANY of the "Asian" stereotypes... So the Camaro would match me pretty well, I think...

Actually, Adriane, the car has been giving me nothing but problems. The tranny kickdown won't stay in place, there's a compression leak on #6, and I haven't done a leakdown test yet, but air is getting into the coolant somehow. Don't know if it's a cracked head, or the head gasket, or maybe even the block...
Either way, I've really just pushed the car aside for now. Not as fun as you would think. I hardly even drive it. I drove it to UTI for a few days, but that's about it. I'm starting to think I got ripped off...
So, maybe I can rip off the dealership by trading it back in.

[QUOTE]Alex, is that '72 original color? And is that color a kind of UPS brown? If so.... don't get it; I made the owner pee in the passenger seat
I just think a 900 hp GNX would be vastly more cool than a 600 HP Camaro...
everyone has a 350. turbo 6 domestics are few and far between

I'm not a big fan of 70's Camaros. Too much redneck/white trash association with them. Actually, Camaros of any vintage have that association in these parts...
okay alex, it's decided. You get a camaro and you are a redneck
Is there any site that has a how-to on changing your hairstyle into a mullet?

But with all this talk about muscle cars... The dealership also had:
100% original:
GT500 with 428CJ
GT350
Boss 302
Yenko 427 Z/28
'69 Z/28 with 396
'69 Z/28 with 302
(2) Mach 1 Mustang
'57 Belaire with 396
'61 Coronet with 426 Hemi (1 of 31 ever made)
Chevelle SS with 396
'69 Stingray with 427
'67 Stingray
Chevelle SS with 454
Duster with 383
'57 Belaire with ZR1
'55 Chevy with ZL1 (aluminum block 502)
'32 Ford with injected 351
And the list goes on. That's all I can think of right now.

Longer than 3 lines, yes, but I had to catch up with all the other posts, so BOOYA!
As for the redneck thing, I think I'm just too young to know about the whole Camaro/redneck association... And if I don't know, I don't care!
