If, and only if, it was real, I'd go for the Yenko. Personally, I know of too many fake Yenkos around to trust anyone. There is no such thing as 100% original GT500 with the CJ - another one, that if documented, has got to be in the 6 figure range.
the only Yenko I'm positive is real is this one I saw in person at a car show. The only problem is, the guy was a dumbass, and dropped in a ford cleveland in place of the 427.

the yenko i saw at the dealership, i didn't even give a second glance. it was listed at $37k i think. at that price, i wasn't too sure it was authentic because i'm pretty sure a true yenko would sell for much more, especially one in as good of a condition as the one i saw
well, i didn't know the "real" GT500s didn't come with the CJ, but it does look all factory original... iunno. FYI, the GT500 was selling for something like $75k. it was lime green with a 4-speed auto, if that helps.
as for the camaro i'm looking at... my dad can't make it out til this weekend. the dealership closes at 6:30 and my dad can't get off work that soon. anyway, my dad mentioned the option of keeping my GNX, and he would trade in his '72 monte!
i was like
because my dad is a pretty hardcore monte carlo fan (he has 3, not including mine, or the '87 SS that we bought and was repo'd because it had a lein), but he did sound pretty serious. i'm not too sure what it's worth, though.we're going to drive it to the dealership this weekend and have them look at it.
if you guys know anything abuot the value of these cars...
it's a '72 monte, jet black with black vinyl top. factory bucket seats, wood steering wheel. 4 on the floor...
original 454 engine block, but with Weiand twin-screw blower, holley 1070 dominator, Edelbrock aluminum heads and intake, Edelbrock cam, SRP pistons and rods, full MSD ignition, 2" headers to 3.5" exhaust...
Cragar S/S wheels, 15x8 and 15x10 with Mickey's Sportsman Pro radials...
anyway, my dad said, "Sure, I never drive it anymore anyway. It's just taking up garage space."

surely that car could sell for well over $20k?

oh, and also a wilwood front disc brake kit
it's easily the most powerful car in his garage (close to 700
on a dynojet), but what's the point if it's only fast in a straight line, in the dry?
moreover, i think the car is butt ugly.

c'mon wickster, i'm sure you have some sort of an opinion on this...
martin is hard enough to get ahold of
, and that bastard jim is never online... shiet, every one else on here pretty much hates muscle cars, save for WSB (but he doesn't say much
, and a few others.

um. honestly I think i'd be partial to the 69 vette. That is a sweet setup, 427, independant rear, drop in a richmond gearbox, and a nice wilwood setup....... I guess the question is what do you want the car to do???

as you know, i'm still a young'in and don't appreciate the muscle cars the way someone like you, WSB, or martin would. to tell you the truth, i thought the '69 vette was kinda ugly...
but for some reason, i saw that black camaro and fell in love with it. it was just so clean. none of the fancy chrome door handles, chrome mirrors, non-functional air vents, excessive badging, etc. just clean...
with the '72 camaro, i've been thinking what i want to do with it, and i really would keep it close to stock. i'd probably just put exhaust, maybe a decent carb, air filter, and some bigger tires. i'd probably try to keep it as original as possible...
i know there are lot rarer, faster cars in that same showroom, but they just don't make my heart beat fast, like that '72 ss
i would just cruise windows down, left hand atop the wheel, right hand on the Hurst shifter, at 10mph under the speed limit...
