I don't feel like making what-if and if-only excuses... this is hockey, people go on the injured list. BUT... It would be a better series if both teams were full strength. I can only imagine how Sundin and Nolan would help. Nolan was skating in practice on Wed... No sign of Sundin. I suspect he's seriously injured.

Can't blame it on injuries... Half of Philly's defense is sitting out. Heck, they had Kapanen playing defense.

Woo, more quality officiating...

Craig Conroy loses his stick. Maltby has Conroy's stick and his own. Nope, no holding the stick penalty there. Having 2 sticks, regardless of whose they are, is also a penalty. No call, despite both refs looking at the play.

Less than 15 seconds later, Oliwa gets boarded by Mathieu Schneider's cross check to the back of the neck, sending Oliwa flying head first into the board. No call.

Go Zebras!

I hope you don't expect them to call anything against the Wings - the "golden boys" of hockey!

I mean somehow the zebras let them loose one game, they can't let it happen again.

They're not going to... I just saw the worst call in the history of playoff hockey... on the Flames, of course.

uning believable... the officiating is a disgrace to the game of hockey.

I had to turn it off, couldn't take it anymore. I know its true in every sport, but it really p***** me of to watch Detroit get away with this every year.

Yeah... the slashing call was quite possibly the worst call ever. If Holmstrom wasn't such a pussy, he wouldn't have lost his stick. Consecutive 5 on 3s for Detroit, too? Jeez. After 5 periods of not calling anything in front of the nut, suddenly Holmstrom (a borderline goon his entire career) is hands off?

Some good fights at the end, though... Iginla v. Hatcher, Commodore v. McCarty...
