If your ceiling is high enough you can always just run the rails straight up the wall rather than curved out in the way.

I was thinking the same exact thing when we looked at the house. My girlfriend didn't understand. It may not work, while the ceilings are high, the garage itself is pretty small, something common on newer constructions.

it's actually bigger and less expensive plus the same distance from work but it's a little out in the sticks. House #1 is in a better area, better neighborhood, better school district. House #1 should have more potential resale. Plus with a $1,700 a month mortgage, and a huge void in my savings caused by a 20% down, I won't be buying a 3rd car anytime soon.
