I'm thinking you're giving way too much credit for the fine folks who are behind the convoy

 

I’m listening to the rain.

 

I'm hoping Florida doesn't get whacked again.

 

I’m going to be solo on Thanksgiving. And I don’t mind it.

 

I'm saying that's how I would roll (wife & I like to be by ourselves).

 

I'm thinking after going grocery shopping today that I may have to get an insurance policy to cover my groceries.

 

I’m saying there is nothing wrong with that - sometimes you just need a holiday for your self and family and nothing more.

 

I’m also saying that just because it’s a holiday, it doesn’t mean that you have to spend it with your extended family.
I hate the pressure that’s put on me to spend holidays with family ( not that I don’t love them ) but a holiday to me means it’s my time - and I can spend it any way I want.

 

I’m also noting that part of this holiday issue is the years that my family forgot my birthday or other special events and that’s why I get so frustrated about holidays.

 

I'm saying one of the things my dad told me on the day I got married: establish your schedule now or you will never be able to get out of it (re: come see parents/extended family for every holiday, etc.) I took that advice.
