Stop Me Before I Kill Again....
Thanks Chaz, I'm good to go today. I'm bigger than nicotine, and it's comforting to know the empowering choice is to not smoke. The sad-sack, loser chioce is to light up. easy.
Thanks man...it didn't feel courageous....It was like, "I choose life". The choice was easy. The withdrawal was hard...(this is all circa, 1987)...My user buddy ended up in re-hab for eight weeks. I went to a Doctor who specialized in addiction treatment. He prescribed five (5) tablets of Percoset, and a blood pressure reducing medication. A week later I was OK. It's not like the movies...it wasn't like The Man with the Golden Arm or anything...
Corey,
R U talkin' about how you quit every night and then start again the next mornin'
If so . . . . I quit drinkin' again.
Seriously, Morgan I wish you the best. I know that running helps me quit. I always start again in the fall and winter and quit in the summer.
I think exercise may really help. It seems to trigger some of the same chemical responses (by your body) that smoking does. At least it seems to to me.
SO FAR, SO GOOD
