thanks alex. you are actually one the more knowledgable people on the board and coming from you that really warms my heart. It'll be a sweet little ride. If I was power greedy I'd stuff in a turbo and build the bottom end...... or just buy a C5 instead

thanks brant, That is exactly the kind of praise I'm looking for. I also don't want the added hassle of turbo or SC maintanence.....

Real men go all motor.... unless they have a rotory.....

thanks a bunch wickster

there's no fun in buying a car that's fast out of the box. knowing that it's fast because YOU made it fast is actually a wonderful feeling. that's why i want that RX7.

power greedy? nah. power is only good in a straight line. one of my dad's 300zx TT's is pushing 600 at the wheels and let me tell you, you do NOT want to take that to the auto-x!

strictly for the strip and freeway...

haha, that's funny that you mentioned the rotary. i didnt even see that when i made the last post.

i'm going to call him tomorrow and see what's the deal with the car. if i can haggle it down low enough, i just may buy it (actually my dad would). it'd really be my next track machine but i'd say i bought it just to spite my mom. she doesn't let me keep any of my cars at her house.

yup, you'd have to take that motor out and put it in a racer chassis.......

the RX7 thing is fun. That is my favorite car. It is so unique and so extremely moddable. If you are careful in your tuning you can take the 13b to 400+ hp without pooping out the motor. on a 20b there is no reason not to have 550. It is just stupid how stiff the chassis is on that car, how good the suspension is. and how fantastic the motor is. And the drivetrain tends to hold up (surprisingly). If I didn't get the S I would've gone back the the RX
