The one I used was all text like
Code:
>4
>-225m/s, 2431m, 129L
>2
>-201m/s, 2431m, 118L

Which meant I fire rockets for 4 sec(downward) and my speed is -225m/s (225m/s downward) and I have 129L of fuel left. Then I fire for 2 seconds and so on... etc. really was tough. Sometimes you'd fire too long to find yourself going up!

LOL!! In 1976 'GUI' meant 'Groundwaters Under the Influence' (of surface waters). No GUI's in computers and nothing was 'pretty' about computers.

Cool, imagine if you had traveled back in time to meet John. You can both play the moon landing game, you on your Palm, and John on his mainframe that probably occupies a small room or two.

I've thought of this MANY times... but so have many of us. I have an HP 48GX calculator that is in most ways more powerful and more manageable (coding) than the old mainframe I worked on. Can you imagine what that calculator would look like to someone in 1973 when the mainframe was brand new??!!!

The span of time between technologies? A mere 17 years!
