I was also like that with SOUR cream coffee cake I wouldn’t try it because it had sour in the title. My Mom used to say ‘you’ll be sorry some day you are going try it and realize what you have been missing out on’ She was right.

I'm not a strict Catholic but no meat to be eaten today. My mom made cod fish for today so we joined her for the meal, I took her a lily plant too

I’m not a strict Catholic either but I decided to have fish today also. I believe that strict Catholics also don’t speak from 12-3 on Good Friday as if I remember correctly that was when Jesus was on the cross.

I never saw that b4 Mom. My Mom and Grandmother and Aunt used to make an Italian pie called pastiera.

HI Gina, my mother did make those breads like you show, they did not use sprinkles on them though, but they did have the egg. My mother would have fennel in hers. Portuguese make similar ones too (my wife's family) using sweetbread. My mother would always make a crust filled pie using ricotta cheese and egg, kind of like a quiche but better, a touch of fennel in the crust too.

Nice George! Are you a mustard on your ham guy? We are having a spiral ham and also an Italian dish either chicken parm. or meatballs.
