^^I'm trying to decide between spaghetti or pizza. i got a wicked craving for spaghetti with butter and some spices but think pizza would be better for me.

We had fusilli with a red sauce.

Sometimes for a simple pasta dish I just like to heat up some olive oil with garlic, and then toss with spaghetti and nice parm. reg. cheese and red pepper flakes and black pepper. I do it with fusilli too, tailor the recipe to your taste.

Exactly what I was in the mood for. A lot of times if I'm cooking pasta to have with a meat dish I'll split it up and have some of it with sauce and some with butter and, garlic, pepper and parmesan. I like to add riccotta but I never buy it because I always end up throwing most of the tub out as I don't use it enough and it goes bad. As my Mother (God Bless) would always say It's a sin to throw out food.

LMAO, my mother and grandmother always said the same thing about throwing out food. They came to Canada after the war ended in Italy so they lived through some tough years. My grandmother said it was a sin to throw out bread, she kept bread until it was all gone. That might be the reason why I can only eat fresh bread on the same day I buy it and then I'm done with it. lol

My Mom always used the old bread for when she made meatballs. My Mom also used to get mad if we left a little bit of food in the serving dish. She would say finish it I don't want to have 3 string beans (or whatever it was) rolling around in the fridge.
