[oink]Torque is a measure of how much a force acting on an object causes that object to rotate. Horsepower is defined as work done over time aka Power (not necessarily in a rotation).
Torque is the "Force" vector component that acts to 'rotate something'. F=ma (Force = Mass * Accelaration)
Power = Mass * Acceleration/time = Force/time
