Default Crank position sensor and TCT issues?

Okay so i tried posting this in the under the hood section and no help what so ever.... so I'll try my luck here... My tct was acting up and so i did the billman's fix and it solved the issue, but it sounded like it would tick and then go away then tick and go away.... so i took it out again and saw that the tct wasn't expanding like it should be... soo i did it over again and resandblasted the gear worm etc... the engine ran great until it died on the highway....

Now the weird thing is that the car wont start... It only starts under one condition which is when i unplug the ckp (crank position sensor) sensor. Only if i unplug the sensor will it start and when i plug it back in it wont start... I found multiple causes for this to happen...

bad battery (bought a new one)
bad alternator (mine is good got it tested)
the cam position sensors (checked them by swapping them out and they're good)

the various tests that we performed were that we put a screw driver up to the coil packs and saw that it was not giving any spark at all....

we put a meter to them and saw that they were getting a good connection tho... the ckp sensor was also getting a good connection... I bought a new sensor and should be arriving shortly from the local honda dealer and i don't know why its still not here but it still isn't here....

What would cause my engine to start and not start when the ckp sensor is not plugged in? a bad sensor?? i talked to a honda master tech and they told me if my ckp sensor goes bad then it will default to the cam position sensors... well if thats the case then why wont the stupid car start when it is plugged in lol.... i don't understand that at all... i don't know if anyone could shed some light on my issue that would be great

also another theory that i had i don't know if it is right or not i may be stupid lol... is that when the tct was initially installed after my build it wasn't expanding or what not like i stated above.. somehow my timing got messed up and that is why my ckp isn't reading the right position and not allowing the car to start....

No check engine light since the battery was bad and erased everything that my ecu had stored...

if you can shed some light on my issue let me know please 7176442144 is the fastest way to contact me... cmon del val i know theres someone out there that might have an idea what my problem is haha...

So i took the head off today and lemme tell you guys the cams were off by 9 teeth..... i guess when the oil filter relocation kit lines were switched backwards the tct wasn't getting pressure therefore not putting pressure on the chain making it skip... luckily there was minimal damage... retainers, valves, and springs look perfect as if they were just rebuilt haha.... i dunno why but when i took my oil pan off it looked the same way also the crank looked brand new anyways...

I have to get some emory cloth and clean off the surface of the cam towers and smooth them out a bit and set the timing again... im guessing the notches on the actually gear for the timing chain has to be level and the notches on the cam gears have to be next to each other... soo i got off easy... took 5 hours to take the head off while helping my buddy paint his m coupe and do his dad's mdx brakes and rotors, but today was a very productive day haha...

I am having a same issue right now. My tct starting making a clicking sound after the car warmed up and all of a sudden... my car would hesitate and bog down right after I shift into a new gear...
I would have trouble starting it and now it turns over but does not start at all : (
I have no spark at all through all the cylinders and all the fuses look fine. Are you getting spark at all?

No no spark at all but it was because my timing was off by 9 teeth. Check ur timing and are u running ems??? I heard of things with ems and effing the crank position sensor up. Maybe u should get a new one or plug someone elses in. I have a new one for sale if ur interested in that. Bought it from honda and paid 150.. I'll sell it for 120 shipped

How did you fix the timinig, and how can you read the teeth to know if its off?
Im running a Haltech Platinum Sport 1000, So you had to change the timing and put a new CSS in?

Well to fix the timing your going to have to take yoru valve cover off and adjust it. the crank pully has two notches one red and one yellow/orange colored one.. the yellow/orange colored one is the first notch used for timing. spin the crank with a 20mm socket or wrench (it might be a 21 or a 22 i forget i think its a 20) and spin it until it lines up with the arrow. Then you want to look at your cam gears and there should be a notch. you want them to be touching and the gear that has the timing chain on it you want that to sit flush with the head. there should be notches that line up with the edge of the head. if you txt me your number i can send you the pictures needed for the timing.

as for the ems thing i heard that in some cases they were burning out or doing something to the cam position sensors. me being a dumbass and having to buy things that i don't need i ordered one before i took my valve cover off. I did that and noticed that it wasn't my cam position sensor and it wasn't starting because my timing was off. People that had that problem with the aem ems bought a new cam position sensor and haven't had an issue ever since.

I'd start with taking your valve cover off and inspecting the timing. Or if you want to call me i'll walk you through what you gotta do in order to time your car.

my advice don't try to start it... take the journals out and see if your cams are good and if the walls of the journals are good.. mine were so bad i had to buy a new head since honda wouldn't sell me a set... give me a call tonight if want my number is 7176442144 i'll try to help you out as much as possible hopefully you don't need to tear down your whole motor like me....
