Default New MAP sensor and now my car won't work

Hey guys, I just installed a new map sensor and every time I turn the car on it'll start but immediately stall afterwords. If I put the old sensor on it starts right up and runs fine though.

Why did you replace it? Seems it was working fine.

Car was having pretty bad idle problems. Was hoping the new one would fix it

If you got it at a parts store it might be garbage. However, you could try disconnecting the battery to force the ECU to reset. It probably needs to relearn the new sensor.

When I installed a new MAP sensor I didn't have to do any type of resets to the ECU (although, I did a few days after for other reasons, it ran fine right after installing without disconnecting battery or resetting).

Did you replace it with an identical OEM sensor?

If you purchased a non oem sensor, take it back, their garbage. Standard Products are the worst, regardless of the part used. Doesn't matter what type of car your using them on. The aftermarket parts just aren't calibrated correctly
