Door speakers
has anyone ever put hertz hcx 165 speakers in the door of their S2k? I am trying to do it, but the hole in the door is to small around and won't let the speaker through. Any advice with this is greatly appreciated!!

The hole in the door is too small? Those don't look like big speakers compared to what I've used before. Are you using a spacer?
You should be using a different spacer instead of the factory plastic one Plastic Speaker Rings for 6.5" drivers for aftermarket speakers.
I'm trying the modifry one this time, but last time I just made them out of MDF that I sealed to make them moisture resistant.

Can you provide pictures of how it's catching? If you're trying to install it into the stock baskets, I don't think it will fit going by dimensions listed on the tech sheet. You'll need to take out the plastic basket and use a spacer as mentioned.

Measure the dimensions on the speaker and see if they line up with what is reported on that tech sheet. Those speakers look bigger than what they claim and definitely look bigger than the OEM.
