6/03/02 Monday
1:15pm

Michele continues to make strides. As you know from my previous posts we have been staying at my parents home where Michele gets lots of attention and food via my Mom's care taking abilities. It has really helped out.

We have been staying there during the week while Michele attends physical therapy 3 times a week and going back to our home on the weekends.

She has been feeling strong enough that we decided to stay at our home till Monday and she would drive herself back to my parents today for p.t.

This is the first time she has driven since the surgery.

Now that she is able to do this and also able to get up and down the steps of our home we are going to spend only mon.- wed at my parents home and she will commute to p.t. on friday by herself.

So things are getting back to some normalcy we went out to dinner again this weekend, spent time on our hot tub, went shopping and to the movies.

It looks like I'm getting my wife back and she is slowly getting her life back after 5 years of suffering with this illness, and that's makes me very happy.

Woooo Hooo! Great news Charlie! Nothing like coming home to cheer her up. It probably help her feel better knowing she is returning to normalcy. Thanks for the update.

I am a new member and I don't really know any of you guys, but I really wanted to express my appreciation for you and your wife. I read through the entire thread and was very happy to see that your wife was having a speedy recovery.

Having a loved one in the hospital for some type of transplant or surgery is so hard on your mind. You never know what is going to happen each day. You and your wife are in my thoughts although she is doing well now. I just am so happy to see how well she recovered from the transplant. Good luck to you.

I hope that all goes well in the future and she gets in that S2k with you and goes to the meets. I would like to meet you and your wife and shake both of your hands. I have dealt with a few loved ones being in the hospital for large surgeries and it is great to see someone else go through it with great results.

Although, I am only 17, I hope that you all will welcome me as a mature person because I try my best to act like one. I will one day attend the meets just to say hello to everyone.

LSHatch, thanks for the kind words as well as everyone else on the board.

As far as Michele going for a ride in the S2000... this weekend will be the first time she is well enough to drive in it since Rick's Fall Run back in Oct of 01. We are going to a friends house for their daughters 2nd birthday somewhere between Middletown and Dover, Deleware I dunno the town exactly but my wife does.

I'll post some pics of us so everyone can see how far she has come.

Most of us are enthusiast's here and have owned other sports cars before the S2000 and prob others after it so feel welcome.
