The S would probably make a list of top 10 most expensive cars to insure. If you are over 25 with a clean record it isn't too bad. If you are under 25 definately get an insurance quote before purchasing one as insurance can be very expensive.
yikes! i just looked it up and the S is on the list, number 7 right before the RSX. I'm gonna have it insured in my dad's name but this is surprising to me.

It's extremely impressive that a newbie can come into the Del Val forum; ask simple questions; and get helpful answers

I think it's a sign of a mature club with a lot of folks who have started to get to know and respect each other. It's hard to people that you know face-to-face!
Hi GRAMPS Sorry I missed you on SUNDAY

thanks Derr, very helpful. How are the insurance prices with the S?
Since we're in the same location and age bracket pretty much, my insurance rate should give you a good idea of how much you'll be paying. I am paying roughly $650/6months for Collision and Comprehensive with $500 deductible after all my discounts. I have the Good Student discount, Driver's Ed discount, multiple car policy, Home Owner's discount and a clean driving record.

[QUOTE=DerrS2K,Nov 5 2008, 04:13 PM] A test pipe is a straight pipe that replaces the catalytic converter. It adds power, noise and bad gases into the environment. A car will not pass inspection in PA without a catalytic converter unless you

thanks for the replies guys! I'm definitely gonna have to find out how to wire the S so that my top can go up or down while moving. Also does anyone know if Honda is gonna redesign the S model anytime in the near future?

I think it was road and track who put out a cover story on the next gen S3000. There are no final plans set in place so who knows when it will come out.

I was also wondering if anyone drives their S during the winter? I know some people put it away but is this because they don't want any damages to their S or is it because its unsafe to drive it in the winter? is it fine if I just get snow tires or is the soft top a problem for the winter in general? thanks!

you should be fine if you get snow tires, just DON'T drive on summer tires when it snows! I made that mistake last year and barely made it home.

also, if you need to wipe snow off the top just be careful, and don't drop the top when it's cold out if you have the plastic window, as it can cause it to crack.

there's a few people on here that DD the s and don't have a problem.
