I just got back from ALIEN ROMULUS. First off, no doubt, my favourite movie genre is sci-fi. I was 10 years old when I watched Alien for the first time, and rewatch it virtually every year footnoted by Aliens. Prometheus took a few watches and I really liked the way it added to the series. Everything else ranged from maximum suckitude to barely tolerable.

But this ALIEN ROMULUS was return to form. My goodness, they recaptured the feel of the original with a nod to Aliens.

This takes place a few years after the original Alien- maintaining the timeline fairly well and keeping the dirty tech that was so appealing the first go around. Mostly new talent with a fairly excellent plot. I like it and very likely, will add it to my bluray collection- I'm still amongst the few that don't stream movies, but prefer to buy my own copy to enjoy the extras, and directors commentary.

I give it an 8/10. I suppose teens would enjoy the movie with its numerous jump scares- younger kids may not..
