Default Children of men

Clive Owen players a believeable everyman in this thriller set in the near future. Babies are a thing of the past, almost and society is a mess as usual. But there is hope and this film is about that hope, perhaps personal redemption and, and a quest for whatever.....

Michael Cane playing an aging baby bommer and is superbly cast in that role. Juliane Moore has a brief but powerful role as Owen's X whatever. The film is set in England. The black guy who leads the resistance is great as usual, i just can't pronounce or remember his name..see kinky boots, serenity, and the inside man for more of his work. Casting is very good.

The directorial style reminds me of Stanley Kubrick's ...it is well done, the story is powerful as it unfolds, the characters are fleshed out, the movie goer has to think a bit now and then...this is entertainment, although i found it about 15 minutes too long...the story is full of bit parts...people coming and going leaving you wondering about their relivance to the story..it is a great story.

9.75 outta 10, i am a clive owen fan and he carries this along nicely. Worth a check out...

movie was good, some elements of the story reminded me of half-life, 1984, and various distopian films/books.
really nice cinematography.

I wanted to like it more than I did.. for some reason I got bored. Overall though it was still a great movie, but I only give it a 7.5.

Sure, it was a little long, involved and the story was not really original in that we have seen this and that plague self imposed onto mankind before, but the way it was done, with the cast and special effects and direction/writing, etc...made it for me.

if they took out 15 min or so it would still be great.

great movie. it was nice how the director didn't go into the "why there were no more babies". there just weren't. that was nice. i think if they had come up with some crazy/stupid reason it would had taken away from the movie.

i liked the fact that it didn't really have an ending. anything could had happened once the boat got there. so then you have to decide where to go from that point on.

if you are optimistic then the baby was fine and all was better after that. but if you always look for the negative then the baby died and it stayed the same...

great movie!

the 8 min non cut war scene at the end of the movie was spectacular...def a ver hard thing to get perfect esp. with explosions and gunfire
