I thought it was overrated. I did however enjoy the general in it - he was a true SOB. Also, the pale man scene was very well done.

I think the silly looking goat-man spoiled the movie for me, now that I think about it.

 

I thought it was decent and the Fawn was cool I thought.


Another good foreign film that did not get enough love IMHO is Brotherhood of the wolf. (french with subtitles and a horrible english dub track on DVD)

beautiful film making and cool story

 

this was one of the movies I watched on an overnight flight from the US to Holland. I watched 3 movies on the trip over and 4 on the trip back. This is the only one I remember. It was very dark but I enjoyed it.

 

I'm sorry but I really hated this movie. From the previews it looked like this little girl was going to embark on some journey through a fantasy world called "Pan's Labyrinth". I was guessing it would be this pretty cool fantasy film for adults.

Lo and behold it was an incredibly boring drama about a girl who is hallucinating.

 

agreed pretty much. the movie is way too overrated.. because it's unique?
