Default Cautionary Post from an experience I had...

My last WTD event was in 2007. Back then, my car was stock. One thing recently popped up in my memory that could have been a bad situation, so I figured I would let everyone know.....this is even more important for people that have LOWERED suspension.

At the beginning of the Dragon (Not the Deals Gap point, the other one), the road is heavily crested (crested means the road is in an upside down U shape). I was once driving on it, and decided to pull over to a pulloff on the OTHER side of the road. This move resulted in my car almost beaching itself. My midrails scraped the road, and I was at stock height. Had I been lowered like I am now, I am fairly certain my car would have beached itself and I would have had some serious problems.

So, ask some friendly advice, if you planning on making a SAFE U turn or pulling off to the LEFT side pullover, take a look at the road, and make sure you can make it.

The above might sound stupid, until it happens to you.

Yippers....

Watch where you pull off to turn around.......

Most pull offs are OK, but just be careful!

Even though we're looking at a possibility of a closed Dragon this year, if it is open please remember that a lot of these corners are blind. Don't go across the double yellow just to pull off.

And all of the pulloffs are paved now too.
