Dry sump is definitely the way to go on this one. Be sure to calibrate the pump for the power of the flux capacitor (approximately 1.21 jigawatts, Doc!).

...wait... Ron is supposed to be answering these.....

Dear Ron,

Will that funny looking guy in the grey jacket and black frame glasses make my cell phone work in Fontana Village? Will he have a large group of coworkers there? Will he say "I can hear you now"?

Dear Ron,

I got to thinking today about ways to make the drive up to the Dragon more pleasant. Shorter would be more pleasant! I understand that as one approaches the speed of light, outside time dialates relative to time as observed within the moving vehicle. My question is two-fold: Will traveling at near lightspeed make it more difficult for my car to be detected by traffic radar? And how can I prevent oil starvation when negotiating turns at near light speed?
I don't think you'll need to invoke time dilation to shorten your journey if you travel at light speed. For instance, it would take slightly more than one hundredth of a second in the at-rest frame of reference for me to travel to the Dragon at the speed of light.

Give the short duration of your trip, even without factoring in time dilation, there will be no need to worry about oil starvation or speed traps. I leave selection of tires that can hold the road at this speed as an exercise for the reader.

There turn out to be other undesirable side effects that might make you want to reconsider this plan. We know that you can't actually _reach_ the speed of light but it sounds like you've devised a method to come arbitrarily close. Time is not the only thing affected by speed. Your mass will also increase with your velocity. When you reach this great speed you propose, your mass will be large enough to collapse the entire earth around your car as a thin coat of degenerate matter. I think you'd agree that we'd all enjoy the weekend more if you moderate your speed on the way.

Yours in gedanken experiments,

Sorry, I don't deal in fantasy. Everyone knows that there's no such thing as a reliable cellular provider.
