The dye used to make them blue, C47H50N3O7S2+, or Brilliant Blue G was originally formulated to dye wool blue. I think the Huskerquestion was about natural food colors. If we accept food dyes we can make any food any color wish wish.
And not only food. Earlier this year it was found that Brilliant Blue G when administered directly after a spinal injury materially reduced inflammation and nerve loss. The only unfortunate side effect was that it turned the test mice blue. So, if you want to know why there are no blue people, there are if you want them.
Which makes me think, since seeing Avatar, I've had this thing for blue women...Oh, Hi, Sheila!
Gotta go.

Yeah, but blue M&Ms are cheating.

If Sheila shows up at WTD "colored blue", or if you show up "black & blue", we now know why!
