+1 for Poker Run - this was WICKED fun.
+1 for Beer Swap (I'll actually remember the beer this time.... )
+1 for "expanded" car show - have everyone make a sign that lists the mods and whatnot. Give everyone to show off their stereo Willie Gee style (seriously... WOW... ...)

-1 for the dyno... They did that at the Nor'Easter in 06. Kinda flopped...
-1 for "formal" concourse d'elegance - I prefer to drive my car.

+1 for bon fire, too... I was out and about while that was going on but was too afraid I was intruding to pull up a seat. Would have loved to sit and chat with y'all...

What about a paint-less dent clinic? We all have door dings and the like. Might be good to get a guy to the village to knock those puppies out.

That sounds like a grand idea. Between that and the Poker Run we should really raise money for a worthy cause. I mean we totally could, and it would feel good to do.

Worthy Charities?

(Besides the Willie Gee Beer fund)
Should be a local charity. Giving back for all of the heck we raise out there twice a year.

+1 for the poker run, although I got there a day late to participate this year

+1 for the car show/detailing contest. Let those that like to spend
time detailing their rides show them off! I for one take pride in
my detailing job, would like to hang with others that enjoy that and
get pointers and ideas from those that do it better than me.

+1 for the golf tournament. Also there looked like there was a
frisbee golf "course" set up? I'd be up for that as well.

In general, I think any events that bring people together with common
interests (like detailing, for example) give all involved a chance to
meet new people and enjoy their interests together!

+1 for the after-dinner bonfire...if this was more of an "organized"
or "announced" thing, I would have gone over for a while.

Although it wouldn't have been too long, we were leaving for home
at 8 a.m. Sunday.

I'll be organizing a white water rafting trip for Friday morning at DBR. In the past I've had a lot of interest, but only 2 or 3 signups. My then girlfriend and I went in 2002, and a group of 6 of us did it in 2004, and it's a TON of fun... It looks like the Cheoah isn't being released in September, so I'll probably do the Ocoee again.

As for other events...

The beer swap was good, even though I don't drink beer (except at 1am to verify skunkiness)...

Since I don't actually wash my car, I could care less about a concours...

Poker run was good.

Honestly, I thought this WTD was possibly the best Dragon event to date.... there were always things going on, not just doing laps up and down the dragon (not that I'm complaining about those!). The variety was great. Personally I'd like to see more events on Saturday, since I prefer to drive fast before the cops show up.

Also... I was unaware of the bonfire until a cabin guest suggested I take them some cake... Yeah, it was probably on the agenda, but since when does anyone read the agenda?

To be honest...I didn't even know about an after-dinner bon fire...

Just checked the printed itinerary...NO mention of the after-dinner bon fire...must've been a fluke thing.
