The boys in blue have been very understanding to date IMO and I think this will continue to be the case. New management's just making noise. Most of the guys that patrol that area know why we're there and as long as you're sensible with a "spirited" driving style they'll continue to be reasonable concerning the letter and spirit. I have no problem with them taking out the lunatic fringe that periodically shows up - they ought to focus heavily on those crossing the centerline IMO.
I worry more about the skyrocketing popularity of the place. Eventually, I fear increasing traffic will take care of all speeding problems.

With computer systems being what they are today offenses can be seen in any state from any state at any time. Most states cooperate and an offense in one state carries to your home state just as if it happened there.
I've forgotten the name of the Federal law, but it basically states that a law in one state has to be recognized in another state. The only thing that seems to fall out of this is gay marriage, but that's another subject for another time.
If Tennessee said 5 MPH over the speed limit is considered reckless driving, and you were convicted in Tennessee of doing 6 MPH over - guess what. You now have a reckless driving on your Illinois record.....sucks doesn't it?
