Default going to kaiserslautern germany

I'm being stationed in kaiserslautern, germany.. And I know that when my car gets there, there will be a german car inspection. I do have after markert part on my s2k, and was wondering if I need to change it all to my stock parts to pass the inspection and emissions test... any suggestions? I would appreciate it

The parts that I'm concerned about is:

INJEN COLD AIR INTAKE
DC HEADERS
INVIDIA TEST PIPE
INVIDIA N1 DUAL EXHAUST[/B]

You will definitely have to remove the Invidia test pipe and put back the OEM cat. Also, as a previous owner of the Invidia exhaust, I think you will have a problem with your decibel results during the inspection.

from what I understand, if you are in military, then you will have to pass a "special inspection" (meaning, you might be probably lucky) and not the regular TÜV inspection..

Noway you would pass a regular TÜV inspection with those "simple" mods you have.....

@dan808,

can US-soldiers been send large items (hoods/trunks) from the US to the military base?

I'm looking for a Seibon MG hood and trunk, but shipping and taxes are way to expensive.

Thanks
JJ

I had to ship out my car this past tuesday to go to ramstein, and I did some extensive researches on this matter. You'd definitely have to put the catalytic converter back on. Also, the noise level of your exhaust can't be over 95 db when stationary. I really didn't want to bother with this, so ended up putting the oem exhaust back.

btw, the reading I was getting with my comptech(considered to be one of the quieter ones), was still right at 102 db, becaused of the high low-frequency level.
