Gauntlet being thrown down:

The next one can be on anyone else's to produce. I am throwing my hat in the ring right now that I want to be involved in the planning and execution......

No bad feelings, no drama (i don’t have any animosity now)...just do it!!!

We will see what happens.

No one has posted up any polls or contacted anyone else about anything.

We tried to get this thing off the ground two months ago and had to cancel it because of logistics. How many PM’s, offerings to help, ideas, or offers to help plan did anyone get?? The answer is ZERO.

People have a problem with not being consulted or involved? Where were they before somebody else decided to do something? Where was everyone when they knew something was being planned? I have PM’s from people saying “I would have offered X, I could have brought Y to the table if I was consulted on things”….Why didn’t you come forward? What prevented you from doing that then, what is different now??
Rob, take my comments with no malice. Just playing devils advocate here. I truly appreciate the hard work that goes into planning ANY event which I am invited to, whether I agree with its methods of conception or not. I've been in the mod game on TR for years, so I know how it goes.

My question is WHY? Why no coordination? Why no discussion? Why no involvement with the other CO's? No doubt you and other took on the initiative to do something that benefits us all, but I just cant seem to understand why this forum, as active as it is, had no prior planning before this was all done. IMO, it should have started in the CO forum with the ideas from there coming into the main FL forum for a vote. That gives everyone the chance to vote and make a contribution. Of course the other CO's are going to take offense when the Tampa CO's make an event and call it the FL "Supermeet"...I would too. And they have every right.

I definitely appreciate the openess of this discussion (this was definitely needed), but the methods used to create this SuperMeet baffles me.

So let me make sure I get this right...Tampa members/CO's planned a "FL Supermeet" over a year ago without any planning, coordination or input from any other CO's or members and you wonder why there are so many non concurs? I mean, I hate to keep jacking this point but it seems pretty cut and dry to me.

When was this? I don't remember seeing anything. Is this the piece that are missing?
