On one hand you have a distraught Navy SEAL possibly suffering from PTSD who was given a dog named DASY (initials stand for his fallen comrades) to aid in his rehabilitation.

On the other hand you have the 2 punks (2 others in the car) who were going around killing dogs for the brutal fun of it (fun?)

Marcus Luttrell could have killed them (some say he should have) but he held them at gunpoint after chasing them down, and waited for the authorities to arrive. It is amazing the restraint he showed after something like that happened.

this is my favorite quote though

"I could have killed them 600 different ways and if I wanted to kill you guys after what you would have done what you just did to my dog, I would have pulled you down into my basement and I would have tortured you for days and you wouldn't have died until you begged me for death. So before you start saying you're going to come after me, you better learn who you've just whose dog you just killed."

Just an FYI the Kellerman research cited by the Brady Institute (By John -and used for much of the 'anti-gun' arguing since) has been wholly discredited and even admitted to be biased and "completely flawed" by the primary author after he was confronted with some meta-analysis work several years later.
