This is nothing new and happened even when cavemen had sticks and stones. How do you think different ethic varieties of people ever got produced? The very thing that makes us so ethnically diverse (which is so important to so many people) is spawned from the very thing you are protesting in that post.

I hate it when people choose to interject completely off topic statements in the middle of conversations about a subject.

furthermore, you have ZERO idea of what a conservative holds dear and what is meant by a return to values in american society. I love how you interject historically marring issues like racism and womens rights and label them as values we hold dear and something we want a return to.

i agree. Essentially it was a WAR between the 'americans' and the native indians. With ANY war there are casualties. Within the general public it was MUCH different.

This is a debate MANY of us would LOVE to have in a realtime environment with sensible discussion (which you seem to despise). Setting up situations and having access to the internet to find supporting data at the same time may be the only answer for folks like you because MOST of what you say is regurgitated speculation. You truly do operate under a straw man approach ... but, even that isn't fair because the straw man actually represents a portion of the argument realistically (which you don't). This is also NOT a debate of 'left-wing/right-wing' politics. This is ONE very specific debate about an ability to protect ones self. If you had the ability to focus on that for more than a nano-second ... you may actually be pro-active. But, considering the way you've reacted ... no one will be near you even if they do have a similar idealism.

If you were the guy in the convertible and pulled over into a parking lot with NO one around and those guys pulled the bats out ... what would you do? Would you drive extremely fast and wreckless to escape them and endanger other drivers? Try to outrun them on your feet? What about the girl in the car? If you had a bat would you fight back?
