I haven't read all 5 pages of this thread. owever, from what I have read is people don't want to travel. How about Orlando? That is pretty central for everyone statewide is it not??? We have all met out there for KamiSPeed and Titan Motorsports meets before. I'm sure either of these place would be willing to do it again.

Now I can not speak for Titan Motorsports. But I was out there recently for the grand opening of the new facility and it is absolutly amazing. Tons of parking space, they have a dyno for some dyno runs, hotels are nearby if necessary and Orlando even has plenty of night life and street racing if anyone gets bored!!! To me, this is an ideal location coupled with a great facility that will draw a crowd of many other enthuisasts and cars.

What do you think?

 

I like the sound of that. I'm personal friends with the organizer of the Titan meets, if everyone likes this location, I can make a call and get the ball rolling.

What is it that people expect form this type of meet?
These are some of the ideas I have:

Food & Drinks
Dyno Runs
Vendors
Awards
Entertainment (ie dj, bikini contest aka Miss S2k, team games)
Raffels
Official "FL S2ki Mega Meet" stickers and shirts
Local Hotel Group Rates
etc....

If the community wants this, speak up!
I'll put together a budget and let everyone know what it's going to take and how much its going to run each memeber. Then we'll ALL make it happen

I can design the magnets/stickers/shirts

I have contacts with several vendors willing to do stuff in conjunction with this event.

I can go over logistics as to what may be needed to pull of this event.

 

OK, I got the ball rolling with Titan. Have a meeting set up for early next week to discuss some details.

As far as dates, I searched every event calendar from jax to the Keys and as far as automotive events, Oct looks empty and avaliable for most of the State.

I was looking at Oct 16th, how does this sound for everyone?
Its at least one month after HIN/Nopi Miami (for those attending) and at least two weeks away from Halloween for the party people.
