be careful tonight
this is mostly for the ap1 owners out there with the plastic rear window. i was working on the car and decided to put the top down while working. this was a bad idea because apparently the plastic was too cold and it cracked all the way across. this is wierd because i have put the top down in 30 and below in chicago with no problems. anyone know how much it costs to have a new window sewn in? anyways just tryin to help some people learn from my mistakes.

i'd like to learn the temp fix on the top.. can't work one into my budget yet.. did see the nice repair job posted already... i'm not that talented... asked the convert top guy in town.. he said.. tops to rotten an he wouldn't waste his time... so it's top down and stars at night.. sun during the day.. and tape when it rains...
My buddy's a mechanic at the Honda dealer in Daytona. He had one split on him while he was doing repairs on the car. The dealership offered the customer to cover half of the costs for a new top because it was seven years old. The customer said no and that she would be contacting her lawyers if the dealership did not pay for it. So, the dealership ate the entire cost and now will not put tops down on the models with plastic windows. Owners have to put their own tops down prior to repairs.
