Default Convertible Top Latches

Alrighty then, I did search this but did not find an answer I'm looking for so I decided to ask some of my Florida buddies.

So the other day I picked up a girl who has been in my car numerous times. She asks me to put the top down so I unlatch my side and secured it and the bimbo next to me did the same... except she didn't secure it. So as I was lowering the top and it came to the end I heard a heart-breaking SNAP. So after crying and trying to stay calm I raise my top and a little piece of plastic falls on her lap and a 2 inch hole is right above the passenger latch. That little piece of plastic is what *clicks* when you latch the top up, so now I have to ghetto-rig it by using a rubber-band to keep the latch from moving when the top goes up and down. Thank god the top is being replaced this weekend so no biggie there . BUT, I called Honda of Ocala to get a price on a replacement latch.. $189 . Does anyone have a direct link where I can buy a cheap/used latch?

Ooooorrrr, if someone would like to donate to the FL S2K Foundation of Convertible Top Latches... it would be appreciated.

And a lousy camera phone picture of the damage... don't forget to secure your latches

When I bought my car both latches were like this and I used rubber bands for a week until I got latches. My cost from courtesy honda was $98 each. try HTG I bet he has a good deal on them.
