Unfortunately, during my little mishap up there in NC in the early part of July, the NC state police issued me a citation with 3 points attached to it. It was mandatory regarless of anything stated as to the cause of the accident. So, I mailed the fine to the county clerk of Translyvania, all done.

Now, to get the points removed from my license, I did a search on how. Sorry, this is my 1st ticket in so long that they did not even have driving schools to remove the points the last time I got one. Anyhow, I came accross this blurb in my internet search.....

"The Florida HSMV site also notes that FL law does not allow any school or program to remove points for a ticket received in another state. So you will be unable to take a Florida driving class to cancel the ticket or its points."

Does anybody out there know if this accurate? When I clicked on the site provided, it won't come up. Anybody out there well versed in this subject that can offer a suggestion? Thanx in advance.........................

Do more research on the issuing state's website or call any number you may have on the documentation you got at the time of the incident to see if the issuing state has a point removal class.

It is understandable that FL DMV would not be able to remove points given in another state.
